My guess is that you followed up with daily nit removal. That is the only way to really get rid of them-- along with bagging up all of the stuffed animals, washing in hot water and drying the bedding and spraying the mattress with bug spray. The bedding treatment needs to be repeated every 5 days for several weeks and the stuffed animals need to stay in the bags for a monthI'm going ..back on posts where I was gone for a while. Had to respond on this one. Mayonnaise! Back in the early 90's my kids got lice. I was devastated! Everyone was saying the medicated shampoo wasn't working because it had been used so much. Kind of like certain medications after a while I. So, mayonnaise was suggested. Worked great. Smothered those creepys!

It is easier with Boys since you can shave their heads. I did tell the girls that the next time they had lice, they would get very short hair cuts! The only time we got lice (from my mom)
We didn't have to work that hard.
Just put all hats and scarves, stuffed animals and pillows etc. In the drier for 30 minutes or whatever it was.
Everything else got washed (but once only), all kids shaved then shampooed, checked for nits on the tiny stubble I had left on their heads.
And we were done.![]()
With the flu shot, each year you get it your immune system gets a bit better at fighting off the strains.Ron, influenza. They tested for both type strains. All I know is, we tested positive for one, the other, or both. I was too sick to ask, or care. Within 12 hours, the Tamiflu relieved the horrible headache, and enough of the body aches that Dh, and I could rest without being in agony. That alone, made it worth it's weight in gold. Yes, he had his flu shot, and he's not immuno compromised, so he was a bit better off than I was, and has recovered a little faster. He was still in rough shape though. At the end of this month, I can get my flu shot. Can't have it until then though. In the meantime, recovery has been a bit slow.
The Zometa infusion is what prevented me from getting mine. I had my flu shot the previous year, so it was not yet time to get the new shot. It ran out in November, but there is a 3.6 month wait after the Zometa infusion, which is the end of this month, before I can get this year's flu shot. I had to have the infusion, so I wasn't like I had a big choice.
