Friends, we need prayers/ positive thoughts - whatever works for you. Our daughter has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is having a double mastectomy tomorrow. The prognosis is good, and we choose to believe that all will be okay. Her attitude is incredible, but that is no surprise.

You & the Princess must be out of your minds with worry, I would be too.

It will be an adjustment for her, but she was born from amazingly good stock & I know she will handle this like a rock star!

Thanks for the thoughts/prayers. Daughter went into surgery at 8:40 AM. Projected surgery time is 4 to 5 hours. By surgery end we should have preliminary lab analysis of lymph nodes.

SIL just called. Surgery went well and is completed - initial assessment of lymph nodes is clear. Evaluation of tumor will determine whether or not she will need chemotherapy/radiation. So far so good.

Daughter just texted: "Wide awake. Stellar patient." That's our girl.
