My little addition....

I decided I needed some pens for both breeding and to use as grow out pens so this is what I came up with. I plan on using half of the original run for the new pens and then those pens will all be divided into three separate pens. I plan on putting nesting boxes attached to a Lg doors on the outside of the pens and then I'll have three large doors on the inside of the run for ease of cleaning the 3 coops. Each coop when devided up will be 6' x 4' so I'll have enough room for 6 Lg breed birds in each pen.

Any thoughts...or do you see anything that I may have over looked before I finish this thing up?

Your idea for the breeding pens is really good. That allows you to have your layers in the big area and the breeder in the three others. Good planning. Open air is really good also. You could easily sneak in another hen in each of the breeders pens if you desired. Wish you the best of success.
