Haha! Finally, after all this time, the day has come that my little bantam boys are "testing" their hens!

The hens are letting them have it! They SREAM and chase after him with their neck feathers flared!! SO funny to watch! Its about time for my bantams to start laying! Maybe Ill have some chicks soon!!

Sounds as though your eggs will be fertile when they get down to laying.

Don't incubate the early eggs from a bird, though, as they are small and any chicks will be weak. Wait until the birds mature.

Oh, and because they are mating/laying etc. does not mean that any of the girls will go broody.

I bet Jill and Gracie are giving the boys a run for their money! I wouldn't count on any chicks till spring. Gracie's mom is a super setter so maybe Gracie will be too. Good luck!Keep me posted
