I feel terrible that this happened, they were getting along fine. Then wham!
I have a young Cornish Rock that is looking like it's oven roaster size, and a brown pullet - I bought them at Tractor supply at the beginning of April.
At first I thought they were just bitten, then I realized once I started cleaning them the pullet is missing one of her wings.
The attack happened Saturday night. I washed out the wounds with betadine, and gave electrolytes.
Is it terrible if I just nurse her along? Or should I euthanize her? The cornish rock probably wasn't going to live long anyway.
I just don't want them to linger in pain. If they can make it through the next few days
and aren't in pain then they can keep on being chicks.
Thoughts?
