Well my little girl wanted some chickens so I built her this 4x12 chicken coop/tractor for her four hens.It has a 4×11 run. I used old privacy fence boards for the coop and metal pool siding for the roof and 1x1 weldeld fence on the side. Unfortunately did not have enough to do the door. So that's why I have an electric fence around it to. I'm in the prosses on building a hitch attachment on the front so the mower or ATV can move it around.
I wanted it tall enough that I could walk in it,so it is six feet on the high side.
We also let the chicknes out a couple times a week to stretch there legs but we have to make sure our blue tick is put up along with the American bull dog.
