I went out to check the birds' water just a bit ago. I got a little surprise. At least one of my pullets is not a pullet. LOL

I just heard one of them crow twice. They are about 8 wks. old and this is the first one I have heard crow. Now to catch which one it is. Oh well, will be easy to tell soon enough. Odds are that it is one of the Easter Eggers as I only have 4 RIRs and I have 8 EEs. So that means I only need to keep one of the Buffs when they get bigger.

HMMMMMM wondering how a Buff O roo and a RIR hen cross will work? Would I get Orange chickens. [IMG] LOL. JK [IMG] After all wouldn't want my Buff roo getting lonely next spring.

I believe this is my covert crower. He only crowed twice while I was with the BO chicks so I didn't see for sure.

This one is 8 wks old.

He almost looks like he has a mullet on his neck. LOL
