I went out to check the birds' water just a bit ago. I got a little surprise. At least one of my pullets is not a pullet. LOL
I just heard one of them crow twice. They are about 8 wks. old and this is the first one I have heard crow. Now to catch which one it is. Oh well, will be easy to tell soon enough. Odds are that it is one of the Easter Eggers as I only have 4 RIRs and I have 8 EEs. So that means I only need to keep one of the Buffs when they get bigger.
HMMMMMM wondering how a Buff O roo and a RIR hen cross will work? Would I get Orange chickens.
LOL. JK
After all wouldn't want my Buff roo getting lonely next spring.
