Lola was my first hen, I bought her with two other hens on the third of March 2017. Today she sadly passed away, I found her beak inside a water bowl. I want to share with everyone here her life story.
Many may thing “oh she’s just a chicken” but she was a therapy chicken to me, and if she ever got sick I would have taken her to the vet that is how much she meant to me.
Little Lola, here she’s pictured sitting on top of my dog (Lily the dog is a Lassie dog)
Lola was a purebred Rhode Island Red Hen.
Here is a picture of her as a chick sitting on another chick.
On the night of the 30th of June, her companions Falcon and Penelope was murdered.
She was the lone survivor. Here she is calling for her friends that had died.
Here’s a picture of Lola the day I presumed she was laying and hiding her eggs. I locked her up but later let her out for she was squawking about how unfair it is her friends are allowed out but she wasn’t.
Here she is crossing the road.
The day I found her stash of eggs.
She was gorgeous.
Here she was roosting 3 days ago
May you forever Rest In Peace Lola, you were loved and still are. I will bury you in a gardiana bush so you will thrive forever more.
Love you xx
