i had 6 eggs shipped in , got one hatch . such a lonely little bird . the little thing cried so piteously for the first few days , all alone. kinda reminded me of myself, crying for a friend , new hatched in to a new world .
i nearly ordered a new shipment of pheasant eggs but thought better of it . have shipment of peafowl eggs due in soon , quite an advanced behavior to incubate 2 different kinds in the same incubator with different set times , well beyond my KSA [ knowledge skills ability]
little bird settling down pretty good , does not flee so much when i enter the bathroom and sit on the toilet stool , say hey little bird , i see you . i have seen little bird poke beak in to the quail water devices , i have seen little bird peck at the gamebird crumbles + millet + wild bird feed ...
i love my little bird .

i put handfuls clover from the front yard where the pens will be into the brood shield area , little bird likes those best , really works them over , in 10 days i should get the peafowl eggs in , 30 days then maybe a hatch , maybe little golden pheasant think peafowl chicks friends , do you think ? /

i think in the natural world it is not uncommon for a chick to find itself alone , the single survivor of a hatch // i have murry ky radio WKMS npr running in there ,, bird hears voice , sounds music , all day all night long /they playing left of the dial now , i love this little bird , gives me a reason to get out the rack , leave dreamtime , visit the real world TMI [ too much information } maybe just looked at my little bird , its sleeping , resting so peacefully ,
