My long weekend family vacation

The funny thing about my short visit to Mosinee is that we had really sunny weather the first two days and I couldn't smell the mill and then it got rainy and foggy and then the whole town just stunk...it permeated everything....

I actually started getting migraines from the acrid sulfurish smell and had to leave a few days early. And I never get headaches....

I don't know how anyone lives close to a paper mill...

why are the only buttons that show up for me the quote or report button?

why is my computer acting funny right now?

why is bluey talking about "acrid"?

My parents have a cabin about 45 miles from the dells. not much to do there but swim in a green lake, boat, fish, drink, shoot deer and wild turkey, hike, and sit out on your deck and watch the birds.

Not so bad of a life...to get away from the hustle and bustle.

me,

oh and climb wierd rock formations left from the glaciers.

and learn about Winnebago Indians and such like that like we did in the Lost Canyon tour this weekend.

aha! i found one.

Ok, so I'm tucking my girls in and talking to them about the weekend and I ask my 2 year old if she liked going down the big slide that was dark with mama? and she said yeah.

I go tuck in my 7 yr. old and ask her if she liked the same thing and she said, nooo, in her small tiny voice. Then with a little more enthousiasm she says the best part she liked was when the big bucket dumped on Ava--her baby sister.

It was some timing...we were walking under the fort thing...2 year old trailing behind us...and I turn back to see her and just then the huge bucket over top dumps on her, knocking her down face down in the water...it had that much force. Poor thing.

I quick grabbed her up and was all like, happy and smiley and saying, did the bucket dump on you? and she's whimpering and shivering and pouting and saying, "yaah, it scare me. water dump on me..."

And that was one of her oldest sister's favorite parts. stinkers.

plus the 7 year old liked the water slide she could go down any which way she liked. with her buddy, brady, her 3-approaching 4 year old cousin.

The first time I took my daughters to Universal Studios they had a little water area called Curious George land or something like that and they had one of those big buckets. My girls were 7, 6 and 4 at the time and I "arranged" a photograph right under the bucket...

They had no idea about the bucket until I said "cheese"....

...and then came the waterfall soaking them. They still talk about how "mean Daddy" tricked them that day everytime were at a water park with a big bucket....

heheheheheeeee....... I gots to dig that picture out of the 2001 archives... it was way before I went digital....
