He certainly does! It never gets old coming up to see them and discovering something new.

I also can't get over how much I am enjoying these birds - now all I want is a small cottage in the Scottish countryside with tons of space for shiba inus and a flock of phesants right outside my kitchen window!

Haha, they do! I think I am still a bit paranoid that they are going to drop down dead, but I'm getting better.
Now I'm just looking forward to finding the first egg! Shouldn't be too long if it ever warms up over here.

The groundskeepers were digging out some grass borders today, perfect opportunity to grab the lumps of grass, weeds and dirt and place them out in the run!

Still no eggs, but the birds are very much enjoying some sunshine and fresh grass!
I also brought them an overly ripe pear the other day, and there was much rejoycing.

So it is absolutely spring time and Prim has gotten very protective over his hens! It's a shame for me but I try to respect him and give him space. It is a bit tricky since the ladies like to come and hang out while I'm doing maintenance but I do my best not to provoke him.

They are also looking a bit "tufty" since he is chasing them around and perhaps it is molting time?

Apart from this though they are very much enjoying the sunshine, basking and digging for all the summer grubs!
