You are correct sir!!! They will have their adult plumage at 2 years. Mine typically have their adult plumage at 16 to 18 months....Amherst seem to take longer, right at the 2 year mark.That's spectacular!
I'm sure Sean will be along to tell you what the progression looks like. I've only had mine for maybe 14 months? 13 months? If have to look at when they hatched.
But my understanding is that Goldens hit their full adult plumage in their second year of life, and can live a fairly long time compared to many domestic birds.
