My Maran's are hatching

They started hatching last night. So far I have three Black Copper Maran's & two Cuckoo Marans'. One more Cuckoo has pipped & is chirping it's head off.

I hope so too. This is actually a staggered hatch. I've got Houdans, Polish, & D'Uccle's in there that are due to start hatching on Saturday. I didn't ave a good hatch rate with these Marans. Out of 34 eggs, 22 BCM, & 12 Cuckoo's,only 9 made it to lockdown, & it looks like the 5 I have & the 1 pipped is all I'll get. I'm happy with it though. I've wanted Maran's for a long time, & these eggs were given to me, so I'll not complain one bit.
