Beautiful!

I'm so glad to see your hen. I have one who is supposed to be a hen .. but hen she started growing wattles like crazy.. and then all these pretty copper feathers started showing up around her neck. Then she started getting all bold (she started out at the BOTTOM of the pecking order) and challenging EVERYONE else. Yesterday she chased the big slw away from a frozen ear of corn! I was starting to really worry, but she is a smaller/younger image of the hen in your first pict.
She's such a sweetie and I really hated the idea that she might be a roo after all. Feeling much better now about my little beauty in the making.

And today I received a super dark egg, darker then the rest I've been getting from them.

The egg on the bottom left is the one I got today. The egg on the top is the color I've been getting pretty regular, and the bottom right is from a Rhode Island Red for comparison. I'm not sure if my camera skills do them justice. Thanks,
