My mare foaled!!!

Goldie had a bay tobiano colt at 12:40 last night! He is the most precious thing I have ever seen. Quite a spritely little fellow - jumping around an hour after birth.

Congrats! I have 2 so far this year and 2 more to go in a couple of weeks.

We had the worst possible conditions for her to foal in, unfortunately.

We bought two pieces of land -- there was a trailer on one and the people moved out 3 weeks past the agreed upon date... which means our barn which was going to be built before Goldie foaled isn't built yet.

We built a run-in shed and then attached 3 round pen panels to it to make a 20x12 'stall'.

Of course Goldie chose a rainy night to have him... thus the mud. This pic was taken before it was mucked out (again). I'm praying for some dry weather.

Without further ado:

Any name suggestions? His mom's name is Gold 'N Luck and his dad's name is Golden Chancelot.

Yey! Fun with name suggestions!
The dual "Gold" parts and his moms "Luck" part, and the other sugestion, is bringing me images of the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow... and the Lucky Charms cereal LOL.
So what about.. Golden Charm ... Georgia Gold .... Path of Gold .... Chance O Gold (or "of", stealing your O, heather

)..
His dads "Chancelot" part is making me think about Lancelot ... Name him after a knight... Lancelots Silver (mixing it up?)

Im only laughing at me and my ideas BTW Hehe! I like the Pot O Gold suggestion alot too!
