A couple of them all fluffed out. Impossible to take a good picture because they will not sit still!

They had their first chick crumbs this morning. I love them!

I see you use the R-Com 3, how do you like it, I was thinking of getting one for my Neice and Nefew, I think they would love watching the babies hatch.

Thanks everyone! These two are going be even more spoiled than the flock......they both had a lovely hours sleep in a sock inside my jumper whilst I watched tv last night! And they love having their feathers fluffed up with a baby's toothbrush!

They are real treasures.

The incubator is fantastic if you have children and what to experience the hatching process. It's all fully automatic and incredibly straightforward. Mine even "remembers" what it's settings were even after a power cut. Put in your 3 eggs, add water, select type of bird and off it goes! The display is great-count down, temperature and a symbol to indicate egg turning, which is done every 3 hours. The only thing I would say is to double check the humidity, because I think low humidity is what caused problems during the hatch-even though this was meant to be fine. My chicken man says things can still wrong though even when temp and humidity are spot on......it's one of those things.

I'm considering a large R.COM now.......but don't think any of my neighbours will be too chuffed! Haha!

Could breed for others though, Brits let me know if you'd be interested in some little ginger babies!!!!!!!

If any of you English guys would like some Miniature Ginger Oxford Game fertile eggs, I'd be more than happy to send you some!

I would love to import a few of those into my flock, they are stunning and rare to boot.
does anyone know the import rules for shipping eggs?

Well when I was an Air Hostess I was quite up on Customs and Excise regulations, and any animal produce, meat or meat products, milk or milk products, dairy products and livestock are most definately not allowed.......I'm sure it can be done with the correct papers but I've no idea how to go about it! America is very strict about anything of animal origin into the country.

If you want to research it and let me know what you come up with I'd be more than happy to send you some.

My fertility is fantastic.......Bonny's first ever 3 eggs were fertile (as we now know, seeing as they're cheeping about downstairs!) And Eggletina has just laid her first, which had that tell tale donut shaped germinal disc, as have all the others I've eaten.

I've got one (very virile!) Cockerel and 3 hens, one of whom hasn't started laying yet, but it won't be long, that comb is surely reddening!

Really glad you like my chooks! I doubt anyone in America has them.

Hello there! I'm not far from Oxford, UK. Well done--great job! Where did you get your Oxford Game eggs as I would love to hatch some later in the year if my bantam obliges!! She is a wonderful broody & foster mum. Good Luck with them, I envy you!
