I wear foundation because my skin tone is not even and doesn't look right without it -- and because if I get embarrassed or something .... my face turns horrifyingly bright red, and the foundation helps make it not so bad. My foundation is not the stuff you buy in the drug stores. It's all natural and derived from fruit pigments (the brand name is 100% Pure). My mom wears foundation every day as well. I've only been wearing it a couple years --I started at 16, and I don't plaster it on. I wear enough to make my skin look evenly colored, and cover up any... red spots.

LOL. Tan and good skin tone?! You could almost call me reflective by the end of winter other than red cheek patches with bits of eczema on my cheeks/eye corners.

Nothing wrong with bright red cheeks! But of course, do what you like and what makes you happy! Happiness and self confidence is the important part.
