My month old chick cant walk at all

My chick is about a month old. She was perfect up until Last week when she started limping and she could only walk on one leg. It’s almost like her leg went limp and she wasn’t able to use it. I thought she might’ve gotten hurt because there’s 9 other babies so I put her in her own box and the next day I wrapped her leg thinking maybe it was broken.

I didn’t see any misaligned bones or tendons. She’s been on her back or side most of the time and I have been feeding her and giving her water, she doesn’t drink that much water but I mix her food with vitamin water to help her stay hydrated. I took the wrap off and 7 days later she still can’t walk or stand . When I pick her up she’ll chirp loud and flare her neck back (not looking up). I’ve been taking her out and holding her and propping her on a fleece blanket so she’s not on her side all the time but I have no idea what’s wrong. When she’s eating she’ll randomly shake her head fast down into the blanket and then continue eating. She’s also starting to put one leg in the front and on leg in the back like a side ways split. I just feel so bad she can’t be with her flock.

Please advise!!

Do you have photos of her and her poop?

She's laying on her back sometimes?

Can you get a video of her actions? Upload video to Youtube or the BYC Gallery and provide link.

You can try vitamin therapy to see if that helps. Give 400IU Vitamin E and 1/4tablet B-Complex daily along with a little egg to help with the uptake of E. Do your best to keep her hydrated and eating.

Below is an example of the vitamins, you can find them at most stores like Walmart, CVS, etc. Generic/store brand is fine.

I see your videos and images.

Can you feel of the leg joints to see if they are slipped out of place?

With the legs turned like that, she may have a leg bone deformity, it can be hard to know.

You can try placing her in a sling and splinting the legs to see if that makes a difference. Sadly, she may be failing to thrive and no matter what you do, she may not make it.

The vet said to maybe try doxycycline so I’m giving her some of that with her grapes, I was giving her a vitamin supplement I got from tractor supply but she’s so weak and lethargic, I am at my wits end. The other Chickens ducks and geese are all fine. I really thought she just dislocated her leg getting out of her coop, but she just lays on her side. Has anybody else experience this? I tried to post a video, but it won’t let me.

Thank you again. I hope the vitamins help but how should I give it to her? The E is a gel like capsules and the super B is hard. Should i mix them with the food or water?

You can mix them with a little wet feed.

Thank you! I have been giving vitamins for two days now. Maybe it’s too early to see a difference? She seems the same. I tried wrapping her legs how they do when it’s straddle leg but doesn’t seem to be showing any improvement either.

Poor sweet girl! I'm sorry she's not improving.

If the legs are not improving with wrapping, then I'd take them off and see if she's able to move about on her own.

Unfortunately with the leg issues and stunted growth, she may be failing to thrive.

She will chirp, then you move your fingers in the food. I think she's just chirping encouraging your fingers to "eat" with her. Chicks like to eat together, so she may be viewing your fingers as eating with her.
I don't "think" she's in pain, if she's only chirping when you are interacting like that likely she's not. If she's chirping all the time, then it's not a good sign.
That's my thoughts anyway.
