My Muscovy And His Love Nips? Or Mean Bites?

Sorry it taks me so long to answer....

My male female ratio? Mallards.. 1 drake 2 ducks. Muscovies.. 1 drake 1 duck and my appleyard/khaki cross is female. They are all really young ducks.

when i raised my favorite muscovy male in the house, he was wicked tame. Once he hit puberty age, then he started latching onto mine & DH feet..he would pinch the skin & boy, did it hurt- instead of shooing him off , DH decided to see what he was trying to do--he was practicing or trying to mate..without a doubt.

A very similar thing happened with butterball, our royal palm turkey..puberty & the mating with feet started..then it went from feet to any shoes laying around. He was a super tame Tom but, I think raising him in the house sorta confused him. When he matured & was displaying he was knocking everything over so we moved him into a really nice outdoor home & got him a lady- He wouldnt go anywhere near her..there was no turkey babies & eventually his lady friend flew off with some wild turkeys..guess she wanted a mate lol
