my mutt chickens first time free ranging

i decided to let my pens out one at a time to free range daily. i can't just let them free range all the time because i have to be out there watching them because there is no leash law where i live, and the neighbors love to eat my chickens. i know one is an americana hen, and i have a turken hen the rest i dunno what they are.

farm yard mixes are the best to have!

You just never know what the chicks are gonna look like.

Looks like they are enjoying their chance to forage and to whatever it is chickens do.

It always amazes me how natural foraging comes to chickens- even from day 1. I hope your neighbors move so you can let your girls out more! The eggs are so much better when they get to be out. And , of course- they are happier!
