My Golden Comet x Golden Comet mutt chick looks like it may be the first to bless this incubator with it's chickiedom as it's got a nice big ole pip crack near the air cell!!!! These eggs have only been in my new incy for a few days as I switched them over from my LG to this Sears Roebuck Farm Master and already I'm seeing improovement in temp and humidity so it's not suprising that I'm already seeing a good pip mark! In my other incy I had to assist a lot and that gets really heartbreaking and discouraging after a while. I'm sittin back and just letting "artificial nature" take it's course on these eggs as if this incy can't do it it just mustnt be my luck
! Luckily, this pip gives me hope!
It's nice for once not feeling like I need to assist.
Theres another GCxGC mutt in there, a pure GC, and a GCxRIR, though the more i think about it I dont think that last one is a GC but I know it's other part is RIR as that's the daddy. The reason I dont think so is GCs lay brown eggs, this egg is an off white....but the hens that layed them look like smaller GCs. So oh well either way they're mutts haha!!!!
Red arrow is pointing at the white area where the pip is:
Will keep this updated on chickie progress with fluffy chick pictures as end result im sure!
