Bubbles is an enigma- I tried to get a Buff Orpington, but that's not what I see 😆 Some guesses have been White Plymouth Rock, Leghorn, and Rhode Island White. Then there's the comb, which is larger than the other chicks, but without knowing the breed it's hard to know. Bubbles personality is crazy, funny and extra. I want this bird in my life. I'm not even 100% on her age, she's growing faster than the others but might have been slightly older - guessing 4-5 weeks? Comb is still orange.

I hate to say it, but it looks like Cornish Cross with that large of a breast at such a young age. It could also account for it growing more quickly than the others.

Don't take my word for since I haven't raised any myself, I'm just guessing based on pictures I've seen.

aww ok. Well I've been going down a rabbit hole. I'll just have to keep posting updates as Bubbles grows, so many look the same when young. 🐔 I don't think I could eat her 😓 thank you for the info!

Wait for some others to respond. I tagged a few people that are way better at determining sex and breed than I am.

Cockerel meat bird. Don't despair! This breed can live long lives if the diet is well managed. However, some do have cardiac challenges that may shorten their lives. But they are truly a fun breed to have.
