It's a small and very active chick. It was the "rare exotic chick" included with my order from MM, so likely it's male. This little chick ran all over the brooder when I released them from the shipping box this morning. You can see it has a faint greenish/bluish tint on its shanks. It stands a bit more erect than the rest of the group. Doesn't like to be held and can't hold still for long.

No leg feathers, no top knot, and no puffy cheeks. Any guesses? (DH and I think Silver Spangled Hamburg.)

Thank you Dawn, that really helped! After reading the description on this breed I'd agree with you and say that I don't think they're flighty either. In fact, this one chick seems to be the ringleader. If there's action in the brooder, he's in the middle of it!

Who knows, he just might be the kind of rooster I want: active, alert and a warning system against danger. Your Romeo is a handsome fellow. I like the patterning and the long tail feathers. The comb is a nice change of pace too.
