My new addition!

I just wanted to add my .2 cents. what a beautiful and awesome equine to add to your little herd! I think its great that you have thought your decision out and did not just say oh i have an extra 5 grand lets get a zebra! I also feel it is rude for anyone to question why you don't want t a 'rescued' homeless horse or other equine. I feel like dogs it's each owners decision where to get their animal. I rescued horses for 4 years when I first moved out on my own and I can tell you my next horse will be purchased not rescued. The op said she donates to rescues but maybe she just doesn't want a rescue herself! to each their own!

Well said!

And to the pop-up nice addition to your family and major kudos for going about your lifelong dream with a lvl head and the research and resources to follow through. More animal owners should take their cues from you.

She is adorable! Kudos to you for following your dreams! Are you planning to eventually break/ride her or is she a pasture pet?

Somebody here has been trying to get rid of a zonkey for a while now, but its conformation is all off.

I have personally rescued and rehabilitated over 25 horses in the past 10 years. I used to go to kill auctions and purchase 4 horses at a time and get them back on their feet and train them for new loving homes. It cost me a LOT of money to do this but I enjoyed saving them.

I think she will just be a pasture pet, a farm called Zebra R Us breaks and trains theirs to ride but they start them REAllY young. I purchased her at 11 months old. I do plan to breed her, i know someone that has a Zebra stud.

I am just doing ground work with her every day, ( tying, leading, brushing) I would have loved to have eventually put a saddle on her but I think I got her at too old of an age. I bought her at 11 months. They say the earlier handling the better. I plan to breed her when she is older so maybe I can handle that baby at an earlier age.
