My newest additions thanks to my broody bantams
Came a day early 6 baby chicks so cute!
2 eggs left waiting to see if they hatch
This is my first ever babies and Im quite new to chickens so Im very excited And so are the kids!

What breed is the momma?

What breed is the momma?

The mum is a foster mum she is a bantam but a cross breed I think brought her and her sister they are beautiful hens.
They are about 8 months old and were broody when I brought them to raise my eggs, They are black with gold flecky but thru the black almost greenish. One sister has fluffy feathers in front of her comb. Any ideas what breed she is? ot has in her im juts not sure but both bantams are lovely girls!

I brought fertile eggs that are purebreeds Of Araucana Lavenders and Blacks
The other sister is sitting on more araucana eggs and some favorelles they are due in a week fertile eggs I brought

Also Im in New Zealand we are in Summer at the moment but its been quite cold so far

Your hens are mutts. Some of my mutts are the preattiest chickens. Congrats on the babies. Enjoy them!

If you get some better pics of the moms when they are not on the next and standing, someone may be able to give you a better idea of what they have in them. The one with the top hat may have Silkie in it. Do either of them have 5 toes?
