I have had my 6 red Stars since they were little fluff balls in October and have been enjoying the nice brown eggs they give us. We just purchased our own house with a couple acres of land. So when my friend called me from the feed store and said they had baby chicks I caved. I now have 2 Buff Orpingtons and 2 California Whites chicks and I have to say that these birds are very tense. I first thought it was all of the stress of being shipped and then sold from the feed store. but it has been two weeks and while they relax after a little while and let me hold them they still freak out any time there is movement by them.
My Red Stars were such fun and outgoing babies this has been kind of disappointing. I hope they chill out at some point. However they are VERY cute! I can't wait to see what they look like as adults.
I will post pics soon! until then ---->
