My new babies (w/ pics) :D

I just hatched these little ones. The hatch rate was terrible but it's hard to complain too much when you look in the brooder and see these little faces staring back at you

This chick is from my BO hen and my Blue Copper Marans roo. Already has a very funny personality. She (

) is blue with buff bleeding through on her face. Thinking of calling her Phoenix.

This is the most expensive baby chick ever. She (

) is from shipped Silkie eggs that got totally hammered by USPS. Only 6 made it to lockdown and this is the only one that hatched. I've got the rest in the bator still but the air cells looks seriously messed up so I'm not holding my breath on those. Luckily I got the sweetest blue baby that looks perfect in every way so far - five toes, lots of leg feathering, and jet black skin. I adore this baby

, I have not gone through the Incubating/hatching process yet. We bought our babies at the local feed store, but that is an experience that i would love to have. Your new babies are beautiful, congratulations.
