Yes they are. Right now I have them in a 55 gallon reptile aquarium.

I wish I had one of them for my chicks. I had forgotten in a year how much dust and mess they can make! I'm counting the weeks till the new coop is built and they are fully feathered so they can get out of the house!

Gotta love 'em though. If I didn't think I'd be divorced in a heartbeat, I'd go buy more this week
