Tis may be a stupid question but, do people eat turkey eggs or are you hoping for eggs simply to incubate them? I cannot imagine having a turkey. My chickens are all the bird I can handle! Lol

Ryan, turkey eggs are yummy too, just a bit bigger, and as for the turkeys themselves, they are every bit as fun to watch as the chickens

Michelle, it is just wonderful. You are going to be thanking yourselves a lot in a few weeks. Can't wait for interior walls to go up. But, don't rush on my account.

I'll rephrase...lol my wife would commit me if I got turkeys! Lol I had turkeys when I lived on the farm back in PA, and even though we have room here in Colorado, we have an insane number of predators, so no way could I keep them in the protected space i have. Of course, I also think a 20 by 40 foot garden and run might not be sufficient for four chickens. Lol my flock is spoiled rotten.

I'm beyond being blown away with this. I would so love to be in the middle of the activity.! It won't ever happen around here, for sure. :*(

Wow, you have to bury the lines 4 feet?

That's a lot of work, but it will be so worth it when it's done and you can enjoy not freezing your patootie off in the winter.
