I think the running away and acting like you're killing them when you do catch them and pick them up is a male thing for sure. I have four, ten week old goslings, two females and two ganders. They were nest hatched this year and I removed them on day one and have been their sole caretaker. The females are delightful and let me pick them up when I need to without any fuss, but the males are doing exactly as you describe. My adult gander was friendly really up until he turned two with me but now he will randomly decide to attack me and for sure any stranger he encounters. Nobody and I mean nobody can come in our back yard now unless I get him penned up because I can't trust him not to attack.

Well if he turns out to be male I'll use him as a breeder ( bacause he won't make a very good pet). And he will be penned all the time so it won't be that big of an issue if he turns out mean. I spent alot of time with him when he was little ( probably because he was so easy to just take where ever I went). Should I continue to try and restore our relashionship? Or will that makes things worse down the road?

Personally, I'd be nice to him but let him start socializing with other geese. I'd say the best way to try to cultivate your relationship with him is through food, and gentleness. Don't try to touch him or spoil him a whole lot because most likely this will just make him more aggressive in the future. But don't give up on your little friend just yet.
