Hmm. Tricky, but my bet's on a brown egg - and soon! I think that comb might not be pea-enough for green/blue.

That was kind of whay I thought too, but figured I would roll the dice. Excited for them to start laying, whatever it will be! My australorp is 2 now, And taking her sweet time coming back from her last molt. looks great, just not laying! Too sweet to be mad about it though

Just curious if the BO cross is laying yet, and what colour?

I've been away for work for 5 weeks, and she started laying while I was gone! She is definately laying green eggs (olive?). I got back yesterday and there were 12 eggs in the box, 11 were green... my bf collected eggs three days ago and thought he got them all, but she was in the box when he did it so he obviously missed a few! I'm now trying to figure out if there is ANY way the other buff is laying green. She has pink legs and a single comb, no beard, so that doesnt make any sense. That was a LOT of green eggs though. I guess I'll find out when I collect eggs tonight

It might be an EE or an AmeraucanaXBuff Orpington... very pretty!
