My NEW Breeding Pens

Thanks. We have added a 2 gal bucket with 4 nipples inside each coop in hopes it will not freeze solid. I still have some trimming to do and we need to fix the feeders for all coops, so I don't have to check feed and water everyday. Then I can just check for eggs! The only down side right now.... I can only hatch a couple of pens eggs

The rest are with new roos, so I am going to wait till the end of Jan before I start hatching the others for spring.

We added a 30 gal barrel to collect the rain water... I am sure it is over flowing now. I see that we need to really have two 55 gal barrels, especially for the summer.

but true! There are plenty of chickens in them now.... let me think.... about 40 I think. The weather has been so wet. I just don't have good pics yet.

Thanks!

Could not have made them if we hadn't. Now we just have to build a storage place for feed and stuff. And a bachelor pen too ...

nope. not gonna happen. because as soon as you have enough pens you'll have more eggs to hatch, and need more pens for them.

Thanks so much for sharing! I don't know that I have the patience or creativity you have... but it is always nice to get ideas from others!

Shoot... half the time when people posts pics of their chickens... I am just as interested in seeing what's behind them as the birds themselves!
