I was asked if I could make a thread for people to follow my chicks growth and figured I'd share my adventures on our new property also.

    New property:
We took one of the signs as a souvenir lol

The front porch! I can't wait to have my morning coffee out here and sweet tea in the summer!

    Acres and acres of possibilities!
One of the many awesome outbuildings! Probably will be a feed and brooder room.

The front yard looking out over the neighbors huge cow pasture.

I like this one's mottling and type.

I love the type on this one too but very little mottling. I think it is from the split to black parents.

    Your chickens look so nice!

They do look a lot like Pita Pinas but they are bigger.

These aren't my chickens. They're the parents of the chicks I bought. I hope my babies turn out just as nice (or better[IMG]) some of the mothers are blacks and the rest are mottled. I don't know what a Pita pina is lol these are orpingtons. Thanks for the compliments!

Your chicks are super cute!!! [IMG] That's my favorite stage, when they're half feathered out and half fuzz still. [IMG]
Congrats on the new property too. Looks like your guardian dog takes his (or her) job very seriously!!! [IMG]

Thanks! I'm so excited to move and have 20 acres to explore and farm! Our guardian is a she. Her name is Harrah and she takes her job very seriously indeed! We are proud of her! Thanks for following my thread!
