Tooo funny! My sweet husband, thinks I am crazy....but he has started referring to himself as "PeepDaddy" and is going to help me with the coop, which has already doubled in size!!!

They are absolutely adorable! Keep an eye on them everyday....'cause as my 10 year old daughter says, "they sure grow up fast"!

I was wondering when I would get to see your babies! I just hadn't found your thread until now....Anyways, CONGRATS! they are so precious, and I am sure they are in wonderful hands!

Yup your RIR's are GORGEOUS!!! But the lightest RIR chick that I've hatched actually turned out to the darkest I own. My RIR rooster Rusty. He's passed his dark redness to his first son Rocky.

Rocky looks just like Rusty did at his age.

Oh, they are all so cute - I especially love the EE's. We got a first time backyard flock of 8 chicks last April which included 2 EE's, one buff colored and one chipmunk striped, similiar to yours. The buff colored one (Buffy) was and still is smaller and sort of shy. The striped one (Ducky) would fall asleep in our hands and continues to be our most docile and friendly chicken. Buffy started laying at about 20 wks, olive colored eggs; and Ducky didn't lay until last month, cream colored eggs.

I'm new at this, but going to try to include pics taken last month when we had some crazy NC snow.

This is Buffy

Enjoy your babies, as everyone says, they do grow fast.

I have 6 more babies coming in April as I have become hopelessly addicted!
