take it to a local hardware store or travel supply store, and see if there is an adaptor? or does it need a special plug like for an electric clothes dryer or big air conditioner? (they run off 220) if so, you may need to contact an electrician (or knowledgeable family member) to install the plug for you. Not usually a big job for someone in the know.

    Good Luck.
