Thanks everyone!

rodriguezpoultry - I actually did think that his mom was a terrier at first! haha The breeder I got mine from doesn't show, so she doesn't emphasize how fluffy he's going to get! He will look just like her though, they're the same color!

RabbitMage - I do plan on showing him in Sept.

Stop it, you are mean, I say!

Okay, so seriously, where does one get an English Angora bunny? it is the cutest bunny I have ever seen. Perhaps our mourning period over Bruce (our bun who passed away last year) should be nearing an end.

Well, maybe my new creature diet shouldn't include useful animals. I can spin its fiber, it therefor has a use. Hmmmm.

Sorry to enable you AngieChick, but there are a few breeders in Oregon. I keep seeing French and German Angoras on Oregon Craigslists too!

English Angoras needs to be groomed at least 2-3 times a week to prevent matts, I've been grooming everyday since he's still a baby!
French Angoras are bigger, but easier to groom from what I hear. These are also dual purpose, meat and fiber.
German Angoras are huge, and need about the same care as English, but they don't molt like the other Angoras, you have to shear them lol Usually it's 3-4 months, they "blow" their fur, molt it, and you just collect it by combing it out.

Oh, enable away! We are actually just getting ready to move into our new home/property (yay!), so we can't do anything new pet related for a while. But, an angora rabbit has been on my list for awhile.

I would think grooming an angora rabbit would be a treat, getting to have a fuzz monster on your lap while you brush it. Plus, there would be the inevitable bits of fiber on the brush afterwards. I LOVE angora, it's a bit of a challenge to spin, but well worth the struggle. We'll be getting an angora goat in the spring, the thought of spinning mohair with angora is pretty hard to resist. Our new house is a tri level, the lower level being the family room. It would be easy to section that room off for a bunny.

HMmmmmmm, must start working on DH.
