My new fishies :D

Very nice! They're beautiful! I have snails, too. I love snails and shrimp.

Aquabid is just full of temptations of all kinds for me. I've been trying not to go there for awhile. So many wonderful things...

@Goofy 98:
I bought the fish for 25US dollars, then there is the importing fee's which you have to contact your transhipper to find out how much that is going to be
smile.png
on the page that the fish is being listed for sale, there is usually a list of transhipper for certain area's. And i would reccomend researching Betta care before buying one
smile.png
not many people know they are tropical fish that like big area's that are planted

good place to start is http://nippyfish.net/bettas-101/ .

@squishy
Yea it does get good circulation, and they cant see each other properly so not too much flairing problems stressing them out in their new tank, though one already did jump over to see his neighbor

but i quickly caught it and fixed up something that sits on top so they can't jump lol.

Yes its actually near impossible to get a True propper purple, But salamander is the as close as people can get it comes in varying shades

that salamander is beautiful...

how much was your transhipper fee?

i LOVE the fish that i see posted from thailand, but im scared to even ask what the shipping fees are...
i NEED 3 new males and see soooo many pretty fishies on aquabid but my faves are from thailand lol

Which transhipper did you use? I LOVE Jennifer Vivieros, very prompt, professinal, and courteous. I've used her many times to tranship bettas. Both Betta splendens and wild breeds like Betta simplex and Betta channoides.

I had a bit of a disaster with one transshipment. The B. channoides arrived to her in rough shape, and most died shortly thereafter in her care. She helped me deal with the original seller and they were reimported at no cost to me. Must have been a fluke since the next batch was healthy and robust.

well considering i live in Australia There is only one transhipper for here, Jodi-Lea, it was 27.50 per HalfMoon male for quarantine, and 27.50 for postage It varies on where you are on this big island
lol.png
and what type of fish it is.

$27.50AU per Male Halfmoon (HM) Doubletail HM (DTHM) and Crowntails (CT),
male and female Giant Plakats, and all large wild bettas (eg Mouthbrooders like
Unimac)
$22AU per CT and HM females, Plakats and small wild bettas (eg Bubble nesters like
coccina).

I keep having to check they are on their own sides of the tank since the misshap yesterday

but they seem happy and are eating which is goood, they didnt wanna eat yesterday
