Would you be able to recommend any good resources for us to start researching? Congrats on the babies!

Please keep the photo updates coming. Watching baby birds grow for their short "babyhood" is cool. We always have a clutch or two of barn swallows on our front porch each year and I'm always peeking out the curtain to see them. They are just too cute when their punk rocker plumage comes in.

OMG they are adorable, we adore our GCC (ours is a normal male) We LOVE Buddy Bird. I would like another one but we have 3 birds and our oldest parrot isnt looking to good as she has at least 25 (we have had her 20 years) and she was abused when we got her.

I have 19 parrots and I've done rescue and rehab for a long long time. My oldest bird is a female African Grey who just turned 30 years old on 1/28. My next oldest is an almost 22 year year old Double Yellow Headed Amazon. Some of my worst cases are a Blue & Gold macaw who's foot was torn off by a dog. The same dog broke the bird's wing and punctured her nare. The bird was given no vet attention. GRRRRRR At least not until we got her 2 years later.

Another case is a female Blue & Gold who was dumped on a front lawn in NY on a cold October night, in a cardboard box. The people knocked on the man's door to tell him she was there and said her name was Coco, she was 7 years old and they had had enough of her and they left. He went out to see what they were talking about (it was 2am) and there she was, in the box, with no feathers.

She had 21 cigarette burns on her and 18 straight line bruises from being beaten with a perch. She was wilder than a pole cat an nasty as heck. I got a call from a local bird club asking me if I could take her and get her vet care. She's been with me 4 years.

Okay here are updated pics of the babies. They're now out of the nestbox and being handfed. My how they grow so quickly!! One is a normal and the way the coloring is of the other 4, they look like they're going to be Yellowsided. I'll be able to tell more once they feather out. But the fact that they have light down means they could be Yellowsided, Cinnamon, or Pineapple.

They are so cute. Hopefully one of these days I get a house bird. My mother had a parakeet and cockatiel when I was younger. We also had a blue jay that a cat killed the mother and knocked the nest out of the tree. It barely had any feathers when we decided to raise it. Don't know how it stayed in the nest unhurt when the nest fell about 15 feet. It would make barking noises like the dogs and the phone ringing.

How wonderful--congratulations!

They're really adorable! I've learned to appreciate little bald baby birds, having raised wild birds for about five years now. Love seeing those pin feathers coming in, and eyes opening! Keep posting pictures of them growing!

AWWWWWWWWWWW... I miss having Green Cheeks. Mine would say Hello Pete-y and imitate the house alarm. he would also scare me to death by laying up side down in this cage with his feet up ! i lost him and a few others when I tried to convert them over to the seedless feeds. This was when it was pretty new and although my guys ate it , it did something to them and I lost them.
