my new little frankenbator

just made this a few minutes ago using a square styro cooler from wal-mart (4.50) and the rack is less than $2, an under-the-shelf rack-- glass dish (used to be MIL's) in the bottom with a skinny sponge, the lamp kit and thermostat from Lowe's, 25 watt bulb, a piece of tubing leading to the sponge, not hooked to water yet, a front viewing/access panel that is glass taken from a picture frame (with a picture of my daughter Sarah and her cello-- oh well I can get another frame!, accurite thermometer/hygrometer also from wal-mart.

It's not pretty but it'll hold me til my Genesis gets here!

That is what you call hard core addicted. You've got one on order, and had to build one didn't ya? LOL Can you tell how well it holds temps yet?

Doing that now, it's up and down right now-- I have 3 computer fans that will be here in the next couple of days and one of those will get installed too, that should help-- I'm fiddling with the thermostat for a few minutes but once it's stable it should hold pretty well
