My New Marans Pen

My marans chicks needed a larger pen(there are a couple australorps and two mystery chicks in with them too) so Phil and I built this one in our back shed(roofed, open on 2 sides, pens on front, shed on back).

They seem a lot happier now.

I always love it when I move chicks to a larger pen. They just love having all that new room to move around in. At first these stayed kind of all in one corner but now they are all over the pen.

That is awsome, question for you if you don't mind? what is the diffrent between marans, domenique and bR, I swear they look almost the same to me.

Marans lay the dark brown eggs.

...and Domoniques have a rose comb...but the bird is smaller in size than barred rock

Nice use of the space! Gotta love making accomodations for those Marans! They rock!
