I have 22 little fuzzy-butts that came from Ideal on Wednesday. I am starting to nail down what I got, but these have me confused. Any guesses as to what they are? I ordered the surprise special so they could be almost anything.

This one is tiny, but quick.

No idea what it is.

I love the coloring on this one. I've named her Cinnamon.

Could this be an EE? She's got cheek feathers but doesn't have green legs.

We have 3 or 4 of these little black ones. How can I tell if they're Black Sex Links or Barred Rocks?

I'm not too good at identifying chicks, but here's my guess for the first two:

I think the first one might be a Silver Duckwing OEG

And the second might be a Golden Sebright

Thank you.

I did order all pullets, but since they shipped 26 and I ordered 25, there could be a sleeper in the mix.

The surprise special is supposed to be all standards. They guarantee at least 5 breeds, but I think I got more like 8 or 10. I'm going to have the most colorful flock ever, just what I wanted.

Silver Duckwing chicks have stripes. I don't think that is one.

The second one is a Silver Sebright, if it is a bantam.

Some of the others look like EEs and Barred Rock or Black-Sexlinks.

Nope, I ordered from Ideal. McMurray is the one who throws in the free "rare" chick. Ideal is known for packing peanuts, but maybe they just miscounted when they filled the box. Either that or my girls miscounted when they took them out.

The little buggers are hard to count once they're in the brooder.

How do I tell the difference between a Barred Rock and a Black Sex Link? Do I just have to wait until they feather out?

Do all EEs have green legs? Does any other breed have cheek feathers?
