My new mystery chicks

Nope, I ordered from Ideal. McMurray is the one who throws in the free "rare" chick. Ideal is known for packing peanuts, but maybe they just miscounted when they filled the box. Either that or my girls miscounted when they took them out.

The little buggers are hard to count once they're in the brooder.

How do I tell the difference between a Barred Rock and a Black Sex Link? Do I just have to wait until they feather out?

Do all EEs have green legs? Does any other breed have cheek feathers?

most likely yea if it is a sex link with barring then it is a roo but also the barring will not be strait, where is a barred rock will have strait barring if you like i can get you images

this is a true barred rock see how strait the barring is

here is a pic of a sex link or another cross but you can see that it has barring but it is not strait and also if you look closely you can see diffrent color feathering comming in this had gold feathering

Pics would be great, thanks.

I guess what has me confused is that most of them have a little white here and there (like under their chin) but 1 or 2 seem to be all black. I just can't tell if they're the same breed or not. Maybe I have a couple of both?

That's the only problem with ordering the surprise special-you have to play a guessing game when they arrive. But, I got an awesome mix of breeds and colors this way and that was my ultimate goal.

Okay, so, my EE chicks didn't get their green legs until a couple of days after they arrived. So just watch the maybe-could-be EEs and their little feet-they might color up in a day or two.

They are all very cute though!

That's what I've been doing and I'm down to these last few I can't figure out. They don't have a pic of a baby Partridge Rock, so the one I call Cinnamon could be that. She doesn't look like anything else on their site.

I'll watch the little cheeky one to see if her legs turn color.

Thanks everyone for the help, I really appreciate it.

The top one is a Silver Spangled Hamburg.
The second one may be a Gold Laced Wyandotte.
The third one looks like a Salmon Favorelle.
The last ones are probably Barred Rocks.

I would recognize the first three for sure because I breed those types and here is the correct answer to what they are

1: Silver Laced Sebright
2: Golden Laced Wyandotte
3: White Ameracauna

and here some guesses on the last one

Black Sex Link ( black star)
Barred Rock
Australorp
Jersey Giant

The first one is a silver-spangled hamburg. I've had a bunch of them, and that looks just like mine. They're very quick, quite small, and grow up beautiful!
