My new old incubator

I'm just trying to match your hatch rates with as little effort. And fewer $$!

I've said before, it's not as impressive to do it in a Brinsea. It's easy, but you pay for the convenience. What you are doing takes skill, and you have much more capacity

The capacity is nice because it means I spend less time on scheduling. Now my challenge is where to put them when they get out of the house brooder (2-3 weeks). I have two batches of meaties growing out in two of my three youngster pens, and turkey poults in the third. Good thing I only have 123 more eggs cooking.

I'm up to 122 chicks for the year...

Well, I do have orders for a couple dozen poults, so that will take some of the load off. The rest of the turkeys I will be selling at Thanksgiving, and they end up with an entire coop so my mixing in banties and backyard chickens isn't the wisest thing to do. But I do adore the cute little things.

I haven't gotten to the point of pre-orders yet, but I do have repeat customers that want calls as the chicks become available. Hopefully by the end of the summer I can justify a second, or larger, incubator
