my new peafowl!! is he pied?

Ill see if i can get a better pic. they are still pretty skittish they will be 2 in a couple of months. i hope he gets his train this year but not holding my breath.

A close up photo would be easer to tell , but it looks to be a young IB male like under a year, i have some here

they told me he was just about 2 but he does look small for 2. do young ib males have lots of white on there chest under there neck? i will get a better pic tonight for sure.

Very pretty. Tough to tell age, but young and no train this year for sure.

mine looks just like that, so those are just whats left of his baby feathers??

yea those are baby feathers,
i took a photo of my pied male i will post one for you when i get them download them, he is under a year but his feathers are white on his breast

Here is my pied he will be a year old in july, i think he is a white eyed as all his tail feathers are frosted at the ends but time will tell. Funny thing is neither of his parents had any white like a pied or split white but the breeder gets these pieds out of the mating.

Yep it looks like just a young peacock. If you watch him for a while you will notice his chest will start to have less and less white feathers and get more dark feathers in their place. Also he will start to get some blue under his chin and upper neck.
