You wouldn't have to go far here to find a spider like that. These are what I have in my HOUSE!
I love all animals, but I freak when I see a spider. I never kill them, Im always running and climbing up something to escape them. Or stripping, because if I see one, then I happen to feel a crawling on my legs and have to lose my clothes ASAP, while running, lol!
Im pretty sure this is a type of fishing spider from my very damp, dirt floor, 150 year old house's basement----Dolomedes tenebrosus, maybe? Think he crawled up for a visit through the plaster by the old fireplace there....

I DO THE SAME THING! If you suddenly see me running screaming into the night, butt naked... It's because there's a spider in my room!

You should see my yard after I have had a session on the riding mower. The rows are never straight and thats because I will turn to dodge grasshoppers.

It looks like a drunk person cut my yard.

Oh well!!!!

Yeah, looks like a fishing spider to me! I have spider photos galore, but I don't want to hijack the thread!

I just think spiders are soooo neat. I definitely don't like it if they land on me without me knowing, but as long as I can see them and they don't startle me, I'm ok. Same goes for snakes. Actually, that's pretty much true for any animal - I just don't like being startled!

I was sitting in the pasture last night and had baby grasshoppers crawling all over my legs! I let the spiders live in my room, I dont mind them. My uncle told me I probably eat them at night while Im sleeping. Tasty spiders I guess.

We have 29 snakes at the moment, no other reptiles but that could change with the next phone call we get. We have a rat snake and a columbian red tail boa that are non venomous. We had a python that lived to be 21 years old but he died last year. My very first snake was a red tail boa and she lived to be 22 years old. I miss her.

We were thinking about photographing Bubba tomorrow. He is a canebrake rattle snake that is on the tame side. When we got him his rattlers had been broken in a weird way. Looked like maybe a wild animal had gotton after him. We have had him for 5 or 6 years now and this is the first year we have heard him rattle. Bless his little heart. I bet he missed his rattlers. Each time a rattle snake sheds there will be a new rattler. If the snake still has its button than you know the snakes rattlers have never been broken. So new pics tomorrow. I'm enjoying this, I know Snakeman is.


Hey us folks from the south name our rattle snakes "Bubba" ROFLMAO

If you have some awesome spider pics, would love to see them. I'm like you, I don't like to be startled. Even as long as I have been doing snake hunting it still freaks me out for a minute until I figure out what is going on.
