I beg your pardon, have you owned a chihuahua. LOL I am owned by 1 and grandma to 2 more and I will tell you that if you don't own one you don't know what they are.
Remember that pups are only as good as their owners make them. I socialize chihuahua pups for a breeder. When socialized properly then these can be the nicest pets.
Buster I got a 3 1/2 week old here now that is going to be long haired. She might not be able to herd cows with ya but she would be able to protect your family and steal all your hearts.
Look up chihuahua's on line. Few years ago they had a story on animal planet where a older chi saved the baby from a poisonous snake.
Great baby there scrambled, my first pup was a doxie. Loved her to death and beyond. Love that older baby as well.
I've been around many I like and a few I don't like, chihuahuas as well as doxies. I like lots of dogs and won't really mind having a small dog some day. It will just be very different from the one that I currently have. You are right, dogs are only as good as their owners train them to be. Looks like Darlene has a good start with her doxie!
Yes Buster it looks like she does have a head start on teaching her pup, she is teaching her pup to chew on duck LOL, check out the stuffed toy LOL. Do you think it will be able to tell the differance between chicken and duck LOL
I my goodness puppys are just to cute! I have never seen a baby dacshunt (ok I really don't know how to spell that, I know hunt is dog in German) before. I just want to eat him up!
One of the first dogs I knew was a dachshund who belonged to my aunt and uncle. Her name was Susan B.because their last name was Anthony! She wasn't great with little kids, probably because she was raised with my three male cousins. Poor girl. Then when we moved to CT my best friend had two, Cracker and Velvet. Cracker was older and could be cranky but she liked me because I knew enough to be calm around her. Velvet was a ton of fun.
That is one cute, spoiled puppy! We'll probably be getting a pup in another two or three years. My son thinks he wants a Westie. I'm rambling....
