My new quail finally started laying

I had 2 eggs today. 1st question. Will the same quail lay the same tinted color egg? Because or original quail has given me 3 eggs so far and all were the same tint..more of a cream color with the brown spots. This morning there was an olive tinted egg with the brown spots. So different quail? Or can one quail lay different tints?
Then more importantly, the second egg, was soft shelled. Is that because she is stressed from moving to a new home? We got them saturday.

Don't tell me, let me guess...COTURNIX...Right?

Same colored/size/shaped/chalkiness can be linked to some hens, but don't count on it. They can all throw you for a loop. Soft shelled, even shell-les eggs happen in the species.
Yes, stress can cause that, as well as any interruption in perpetual sameness. Just properly light them, and feed/water them. When they get used to their new "Sameness", they will produce.

Sounds like you are doing fine....just let it ride, and let them acclimate.
Should they suddenly grow to 10000X their size, and incinerate Tokyo with their death ray, then you may need more professional help

Other than that....you are doing fine!
