My sister recently dropped off a few baby quails for me to have as pets, since then Ive lost a few it seems like they are having strokes maybe? one day they are fine and they next day they are having problems walking and die very fast after that. Please help maybe they are having protein problems???

28-30% protein crushed to a powder and spread all over? Are you teaching them to drink and are there multiple areas to find water in cooler areas of the brooder?

What kind of quail? They should be around 95-97 degrees depending on the breed and they should be in a draft free zone.

I don't know much about the complications but these are the basics on environmental factors.

If they are lasting a few days and dropping dead it sounds like they aren't learning to feed/water good enough. Or it's too hot and they're getting constipated / too cold and dying from that?

You are going to need to give as many more details as you can, including the temps, type of feed, and hopefully a picture of your brooder.

Most often leg issues have to do with not drinking or disease in chicks. THe more info you can give us the better we can help.
