My new rooster doesnt act like one

I just got him today. I know he is a rooster but he runs away from my hens and other roosters without a fight. Is there something wrong with him?

No he probably needs to get settled in then he will show interest in the hens

He is new,brand new.

he needs some time to settle down and soon he will fidn his place.

I would not trust the other chickens.Once roosters start in,they can really kill another chicken,and on top of that the hens will see him as a threat because the roo does,separate him.

He looks young.Young roo's are very wimpy.

Ive never had a problem with adding a new roo young or old. And th hens are fine with all of them.

Each rooster and hen is different.Have all your other birds fought back?

Most hens dont really mess with him because of his size. But he did fight one of my smaller roos. But hes most more gentle than the rest.

He was introduced today at around 2:00. But all my others when introduced were quick to fight the others and dominate the hens.
